Design Engineer, AI Capability Development (Education Labs)

About the Role

Prototype and ship features focused on human capability development rather than engagement metrics. You'll architect end-to-end prototypes, establish technical direction, and translate research insights into shipped products.

What You'll Do

• Prototype and ship features for human capability development
• Architect end-to-end prototypes from concept to production
• Establish technical direction for the Education Labs team
• Collaborate across product and research teams
• Translate research insights into shipped products
• Build analytics infrastructure to measure learning outcomes

What We Look For

• 6+ years building and shipping web products
• TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and CSS expertise
• Python and API design skills
• Interaction design and motion design experience
• Background in developer tools, learning platforms, or AI-native products
• Full-stack web development capability

Compensation

• $300,000 – $405,000 annually
• Significant equity
• 22 weeks parental leave
• $500/month wellness stipend

Work Style

Hybrid — minimum 25% in-office at San Francisco or New York. Visa sponsorship available.
